Great to have you back. It makes me wonder in any system with its reciprocal arrows can we ever achieve a sense of balance.

I think most would agree with the sentiment of the 'Screen Time v Real Friends' story but .. sometimes it would be practically impossible to have contact with your followers/students w/o screen time.

Therefore, logically doesn't everything hinge on your definition of what is a 'true friend' versus a convenient acquaintance, an entertaining at a distance contact, or glad i'm not in the same physical room with that likeable freak?

I think its an interesting question that applies to all of the system maps. For any node with an incoming and outgoing arrow do we apply a notional 50% balance and gloss over the fact its probably wrong e.g. really it should 90:10 or 40:60 etc

Gene, please do not stop posting. You increasingly wake us readers up to more and more mental maps of interpersonal and societal issues that cannot be solved at Jaques Stratum I, II, and III. Your analyses are always systematic and interdisciplinary, inviting us all to process at Stratum IV and above, and you indeed endeavour to lift us higher. Please continue.
